I learned something new about my camera

House update

Randy.... working hard!
Demolition in the hall bathroom.

New tile in the hall bathroom.

Old shower gone.... new sheet rock in the master bath.

New sub floor in the master bath.
New light fixtures in the kitchen

The cabinets are being installed! Beautiful new tile in the kitchen too!

Hall bathroom with new tile, the trim and baseboards are up, new doors, and a pretty new vanity I'm proud of.

My new vanity, and light fixture in the hall bath, we knocked out the low ceiling that was above the old vanity... it makes the bathroom feel huge!

The pretty new hallway with new chair rail, bead board, and trim and base.

Go Hot Tamales!!!

Its that time of year again..... ball season!!
We decided not to coach this year, to enjoy the season and focus on the fun stuff and not get involved in all the other stuff that comes along with it.
So then we decided to buy/renovate a new house and put ours on the market.
Then, guess who's coaching???
Anyway, we had our first game last night and despite the freezing temperatures we won!
Lily did a great job, she had several good hits, and rotated from short stop to third to left field.
I'm looking forward to a great season, I think we have a good little team made up of some great girls.
GOOO HOT TAMALES!!!!!

Pirates of the I don't care-abien

Sunday night at church was our children's musical, The Pirates of the I Don't Care-abien.
All of the kids and adults involved worked very hard putting this hit together. All of the little pirates were too cute, and angels too of course.

Andrew was even an actor, he played the main characters dad and the voice of Petey the Parrot.

We had a great time and enjoyed the show! I'm so proud of Lily and all the other kids who all did such a great job!

Demolition!!

We are making progress!
The demolition stage is just about complete.
This shows the kitchen, part of the new living room once that wall is gone. The ugly cabinets are history and so is the old carpet!

This is the old wall that's coming down to open up what will be our new living room!

What will be the dinning room from the foyer.

From the kitchen looking in to the old dinning room, what will be part of the new living room. Lucky is in this one, he likes the new house.

The kitchen without the old cabinets, new cabinets are being delivered this week!
The master bath, minus the old ugly over sized vanity, part of the shower, green tile and toilet.
The master bedroom, with all the junk from the bathroom.
The basement, some of the paneling has come down and all of the smelly pink carpet is gone!
So far we have worked very hard, more has been done since these pictures were taken. The old deck was torn down, and replaced with a new one. The wall in the living room has come down and a support beam was installed so the roof wont collapse, all the red paint was primed over, and every stinking bit of wall paper has been scraped off the walls! We have had our share of injures along with our handyman work. Andrew sliced his finger open cutting up carpet, and had to get three stitches. Pam slipped down the slippery old deck stairs. Ben stepped on a nail while tearing down the old deck. Then while I was leaving one night, I missed the two bottom stairs and ate the concrete.
We will muddle through, even though it seems so far away, there is an end to this madness!
Ill keep you updated.
